Hello OSSTF, You have probably heard by now about the Gastrointestinal illness going around Brock.
I wanted to let you all know what I know, so we are all on the same page. I was sent a message as part of the Health and Safety committee about an illness that seems to be going around campus and then an additional email about an employee who became ill after cleaning up some vomit from an infected student. The employee was wearing all of their PPE. The center of it all seems to be located mostly in the Lowenberger Residence/dining hall. If you are working in that area, please make sure you speak to your supervisor if you have concerns about any tasks or areas you are being requested to go to.
Please make sure you are wearing all of your PPE. Public Health is on the campus and is working with the university and Aramark to determine the source of the illness.

If you wipe down surfaces in your area, it would be good to maintain regular wiping with Lysol wipes or something similar. If you do not wipe your areas down, you may want to take this opportunity to start. We know what Brock has done recently with cleaning staff and the vacancies, so relying on just them to keep surfaces clean may not be enough.
