🌈 Gender & Sexual Diversity Learning
📅 June 3, 2026
🕛 12:00–1:00 PM
Join us for an engaging and inclusive learning opportunity focused on Gender and Sexual Diversity. This workshop is designed to deepen understanding of the diverse identities within the 2S&LGBTQ+ community while helping participants build practical skills for creating safer, more welcoming, and more inclusive environments in schools, workplaces, and everyday interactions.
Participants will:
✨ explore key terminology and concepts related to gender identity, gender expression, and sexual diversity
✨ gain insight into the experiences and perspectives of 2S&LGBTQ+ individuals
✨ learn practical strategies for allyship and inclusion
✨ reflect on ways to foster respect, belonging, and equity within their communities
This session is hosted by Brock University’s Human Rights & Equity (HRE) Department in partnership with OSSTF and is open to everyone — educators, staff, students, community members, allies, and anyone interested in learning more. Everyone is welcome.
As part of our upcoming Gender Diversity training, we would like to invite you to complete a short optional survey. The form provides an opportunity to anonymously submit any questions you may have related to 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion. https://forms.office.com/r/rtUrz3nKrn
Our hope is to help ensure the session is as meaningful, supportive, and relevant as possible by addressing questions or topics that participants may not feel comfortable raising during the presentation itself.
If you are interested in contributing to the survey, please complete the survey by Friday, May 22nd.
Please feel free to share this opportunity widely with colleagues, friends, and community members. Here is the virtual link: https://teams.microsoft.com/meet/25924870076903?p=RGavFTDvm0xQDN0W1Z
