This June 2026, we at OSSTF BUSS are proud to recognize Pride Month at Brock University, bringing together educators, students, and allies in support of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
This campus-wide initiative reflects OSSTF’s ongoing commitment to equity, inclusion, and human rights in education. Throughout the month, Brock’s community is invited to take part in activities that foster connection, learning, and advocacy—helping to create spaces where all identities are respected, supported, and affirmed.
We especially encourage members to participate in the Speaking with Pride – Creating Space professional development event on June 4 (9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.), followed by the Pride Flag Raising Ceremony at noon. This event offers a valuable opportunity to learn more about the experiences of 2SLGBTQIA+ staff and students, and to gain practical tools for creating safer, more inclusive spaces across our campus community.

Whether you identify as part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community or as an ally, attending events like this helps strengthen our understanding of one another and supports a more respectful and welcoming workplace for all.
Plans are also underway for additional events and opportunities to engage in meaningful conversations around inclusive education, representation, and the importance of safe and supportive learning environments. More details will be shared in the coming weeks.
Pride Month at Brock will be marked through visible expressions of solidarity, helping to build a strong sense of belonging across campus. Participants are encouraged to connect, share experiences, and stand together in celebration of diversity.
OSSTF welcomes all members and allies to take part. Pride Month is a time not only to celebrate progress, but also to reaffirm our shared responsibility to challenge discrimination and uplift marginalized voices.
