We’re thrilled to share that this year’s Food Drive was an incredible success — together, we raised $4,391 and collected over 1,200 pounds of the most-needed items for Community Care!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this possible — our on-campus (BUFA, CUPE 1295, & CUPE 4207) and off-campus union partners (OSSTF D22), the Executive Committee for leading the initiative, OSSTF members, students, and the amazing Community Care volunteers who kept everything running smoothly.
A special shoutout to our incredible team of volunteers who spent the evening before the event packing bags and getting everything ready — your hard work made all the difference. And a surprise guest appearance from Boomer at Walk a Mile In Her Shoes helped bring even more attention and community spirit to the cause!
We’re also deeply grateful to Zehrs for hosting us, promoting the drive, and contributing donations, and to the Pen Centre for helping us spread the word.
Your generosity and teamwork truly made a difference — this is what solidarity in action looks like!
